Our model consists of two base pieces- circle pieces and platform pieces. The circle pieces have hollowed centers and 2 notches, which allow them to connect to other circular pieces, in addition to an interlocking finger-joint system that also creates more secure and accurate connections between circles. The platform pieces are designed to fit inside the hollows of the circle pieces through a slot system that lets them snap onto the circles. In continuation of the previous exercise, we maintained the idea of hollow circle pieces and suspended platforms that could fit into these hollows. In our current version, we worked to get these floating pieces to become stable by anchoring them to the circle piece while still maintaining the floating effect.
