Inspired by the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Art’s Isoropia installation in Venice, Italy, our group wished to explore bending active structures in our membrane model. We initially discussed using the chainmail from the previous hanging model, but found the chainmail limiting in its internal tensile forces. With chainmail no longer an option, we still wished to adapt elements from our hanging model, namely creating chambers, within our membrane model.
